Request a room on the top floor for less noise and best views, as the floors creak a bit.

Good stay, just a few bumps
Had a nice 2-night stay overall. Staff seemed a bit distracted during breakfast on the first day, which led to a mix-up with my partner's order. But the second day was totally better! Lovely breakfast options in the lounge, definitely worth checking out. Just wish they’d pay more attention to customers instead of chatting with each other.

Cozy stay with fab views
Totally loved my stay! The staff were super welcoming and really helped with anything I needed. My room was comfy with a nice view of the lake, and breakfast was a solid start to the day—lots of choices! Only thing is, the bar area was a bit small, so we struggled to find seats at times.

proximity to Waterloo Station, scenic walks to the beach, local access to Anthony Gormley statues
An old building with no lift can be inconvenient when handling luggage!!! You can definitely hear noise from the creaky floors above, so a top floor room may be a must-have for peace and quiet!!!

Friendly and professional reception staff made check-in effortless after a long journey, and the comfortable bed was a highlight in my double room. The food at breakfast included wonderful fresh bread and good quality coffee, thanks to the attentive service provided by the staff. A lovely coastal park was just outside, making the location perfect for relaxing walks, and it’s an easy drive to the city center.

Perfect for a couple's getaway
The breakfast was made to order and it was fresh, not some sad buffet setup. I tried this very nice dinner menu that had more options than I expected, something I never thought would happen in a place like this.
It wasn't inexpensive but still reasonable for what you get.
